In the early books of the series know Rio, a warrior race who shares his life with his partner in blood, Eva, until she betrays him, causing an explosion had just wounded when ambushed. Sorrowing to be discovered, and the serious injuries that caused his companion, Eva takes her own life.

Rio, struggling to live day to day with Eva hatred etched in his battered body.
Dylan Alexander, are traveling in Prague, using the passenger was his mother, suffering from lung cancer, try to enjoy this trip, but when I was climbing a hill, there appeared the ghost of a young woman who keeps yelling to help, not allowed to die. Following the ghost known to Rio, and that will roll out this exciting story of love and adventure and recognition, not only themselves, if not the value of a union of sacred blood.
This book I liked, Rio was a character who was fond of and that I wished him to suffer so much.
Throughout the book we see as Rio suffers from serious injuries he suffered in the explosion and, little by little is being recovered with the help and love of Dylan.
seemed like a strong woman, with very clear ideas and who will fight for what you believe, ready for anything to save their loved ones.
Around this couple several things happen that will change the future of the race and force them to act to save the blood companions being captured and killed.
I found a very good book, with a plot very well spun, strong and tender scenes.
Rio looks like a man physically and mentally wounded, not to accept himself and he keeps in his heart all hate it when your partner tested betrayed him, Dylan will heal but very ... very patient, leaving Rio to see a nice, charming, cheerful and very affectionate.
Dylan must face his mother, his only family because his older brother for years to cut family ties, is dying. While trying to capture the hard, inside is terrified, knowing that once his mother dies be left alone.
What did surprise me was the last of Rio, although he touched on a superficial level, we could see was their first years of life, how his biological mother died and how he became a warrior it is today.
Nikolai has a fundamental role in history, supporting Rio, after angry with him, went to Prague to discover that not destroying the cave of hibernation, if not suicide.
Their relationship is affected by the fact that Rio has lied, and was ready to kill himself, leaving him alone.
Nikolai seen as a brother and will be the close relationship of family ties with these two.
Gideon's role is superb, a hacker first and see how an organization of "vampires" dominate new technologies is a novel concept.
appear more warriors of the race with his companions, Tess and Dante, Tegan, Lucan ... the central story of the saga is going to make sense and when you end the book leaves you with a bitter taste in the mouth because you want to know continuation of the saga.
I liked the story of Rio, I was not disappointed at all. The breakthrough between the two protagonists, as they know, as I respect and fall in love it seemed logical and beautiful.
I give it a 8.5 out of 10
