This new year I wanted to start stomping, and for that I have ventured to review The Book of the Priestess, the second book in the critically acclaimed author's Saga English Vanir Lena Valenti a while now is doing much to talk.
Without further ado, I leave my review.

Some time ago I read the first book, I would say that this kind of reading is one of those books that you love or hate or ... to me, personally neither one nor the other there are things that I liked and others I think that would have been more careful.
First of all, I speak from the knowledge that the author has written this series is "novel", that is his first book published and I will confine myself only to what I found the book, leaving aside all the controversy that has been created around the Saga Vanir.
Broadly speaking, the first book I liked ... and I say roughly, because at first glance, the price at which went on sale, being a novice author, it seemed unfair. The saga has
novel dyes, but also inevitably reminiscent of certain sagas of Paranormal Romance.
His characters are pushed to the limit, both historically and in their characteristics are dark characters, twists, with a deep emotional charge that the reader can get to like it or not.
Today I will talk about The Book of the Priestess, the second volume of the Saga Vanir, whose protagonists with Adam and Ruth. Compared with
THE BOOK OF JADE , this second book has a lot more action and dynamism that the former is much more care is editorially and even that the author has turned all of its know-how to do your best.
The protagonists are presented as a man and a woman with complex characters, shady past, marked by their experiences.
When you start reading your book as you go, look like Adam ... At first presented as a man of firm convictions, immovable and even a bit stubborn, went so far ... is the typical alpha male who makes decisions and should be to its ultimate consequences. Adam
are blinded from the first moment that Ruth is not what the other members of his clan of berserkers and the Vanirs believe, he has been dreaming about it for quite some time, and in the dream she always with an arrow pointing to kill it.

Adam
man goes from being strong and unshakable, to be a sorry boy, who only seeks the acceptance of Ruth.
On the other hand, we have to Ruth, who has proven to be an ancient line of sacred Priestesses, which is chosen to recover the trapped souls and lead them to their final rest. With an often tragic past weighing on his mind, past experiences have left unchecked, tend to be at all times on the defensive, it shows the attraction to Adam while its strength is to stand firm in their convictions while trying to find the place in his world and his new life.
She is a complex character, with a past full of humiliation, abuse and harassment that has been building a shield around him. As the story progresses, it is maturing, adapting to the circumstances surrounding it, all while fighting against his fate and the inevitable attraction to Adam.
The interaction between the two protagonists is aggressive and very sexual. Only toward the end of the book we find a sweeter Ruth, confident and determined to accept what they offer, like Adam.
The book itself is well seasoned with secondary characters that mark the rhythm of the various stories come together in this second volume of the saga Vanir and we are preparing for the next book and make the central frame to expand and expand in several horizons.
Ultimately book is dark, deep and dark characters who try to see light at the end of the tunnel, with many unexpected twists and the deaths of Gabriel, one of the main characters giving a bittersweet taste in all this chaos.

When I read the synopsis of this book attracted me so much. Already, I love stories set in Scotland, where the rough and wild Scottish protagonist falls in love with the hidden sweetness and intense love and loyalty, so do not take me long to buy it and read it with enthusiasm.
as the story disappointed me a bit. Maybe it's because I'm used the highlanders of Julie Garwood (for me the undisputed queen of this genre) and it is difficult to find a book that is at the height of his novels.
