REVIEW:

not very well where to start. Christine Feehan I began reading paranormal romance, and from the dark prince fell in love with the saga, to the extent that I had to reread the first two books (and for me the best) over a thousand times (yes I'm exaggerated but the number of readings is about lol)
So I took up the saga with enthusiasm, after reading this book that the author had given a radical twist to the saga, which was my surprise to find that not only lost the freshness of the first books (in a matter of dialogue between characters) if you now or learn the Carpathian language dictionary or you miss with the long sentences that are released in this language.
It's okay to say four things in their language, like love, or the ritual of marriage, but does not fill pages and pages of different dialogues in which you must read first language Carpathians and then see how repeated in "Castilian."
I did not like. We will discount points for this.
What I did not like (and I must say this is partly my fault because I'd done to the idea of \u200b\u200ba book full of action and destruction, with perhaps a kidnapping, or persecution by of the Carpathians as is feared and hated Razvan ....) but what was my surprise (yes, another one ... and I seem to be opening presents at Christmas) that the story was very linear torque ami. Very simple in plan. She saves him because he realizes it is his companion. He is sunk mentally and just want to die, and so ordered, but she struggles to keep him alive. Meeting (which happens all live in the same area) in the Carpathians of the first books (and Gregory begins to have much concern, I am afraid that in future books he will become the new Prince if the rumors are true author - in which says that getting rid of a major character in the series) and decided to help.
that simple! You were always hidden and now support them .... No, I really liked. In addition, she sometimes eclipsed Razvan, okay to change a bit the course of the series came to be because monotonous (especially the last six books) but is not eclipse one character to another, especially when Razvan was a Carpathian from which much was known in previous books (and despite being so hated, is the father of several co- men of his race ....) and it goes virtually unnoticed nothing of his past, except in raids on his mind.
More complaints ... so yes .... Ivory's action was not so. Yes, it's war, and has a pack of wolves that became his blood and his family, but I expected more from the wolves and they spend most of the book as a jumper instead of actively (even thought I like the Prince could hear their thoughts to be the most powerful Carpathian - and as Gregory says that holds together the last of his race) but na na ...
In short, I took the book with many preconceived ideas in mind, and in the end .... I was disappointed greatly.
But not everything is bad in the book. The relationship between Ivory and Razvan is consistent and beautiful. She is badly injured and was betrayed by her own family and was badly wounded by centuries being helped only by wolves, and therefore their way of interacting with Razvan is sometimes forced. and she acknowledges that it knows how to live with another person.
Razvan, tired, not only of his life (which was .... ufff, to probre not anything else could happen, she was tortured to taste), if not be the cause of all the damage that destroyed their race. When she manages to escape the influence of the sorcerer Xavier, just think about ending your life. Get caught in the deadly sun, but never expect to find face to face with his companion and it was this that fought to keep him safe.
If not for the support of Ivory Razvan suicidal feelings llegarín to fruition. Ivory throughout the book encourages you, shouts, embraces him, quiet, learn to accept what you produce to be next to it.
stories high, are scarce. As in other books or is perceived new partners, or significant movement in history, this did not see anything like it.
something is perceived fertility problems of the Carpathian women (as in the previous books in the series, which revolves around this)
The most beautiful, the ritual of baptism "the two new members of the Carpathian clan (and I will say to not spoil the surprise)
In short, I expected more, but it is true that the story was nice (although there were times where I was tempted to spend several pages), and is a change in the series (and hopefully not occur to the author to fulfill his promise to kill a main character in the series, well then yes definitely leave the series).
I give a 6.5
